Swansea City vs Arsenal

The Gunners had to be patient for their victory, with both goals coming in the final 16 minutes.Arsenal strengthened their claims for a top four finish with a hard-fought 2-0 win at Swansea City yesterday afternoon. It is Arsenal’s fourth win in five games in the league, and lifts them to fifth in the Premier League table, two points from fourth-placed Chelsea – who have a game in hand – and four away from Tottenham Hotspur. As for Swansea, they remain ninth in the table following their third defeat in four league games, but the Capital One Cup winners are still looking good for a top half finish.Left-back Nacho Monreal, who joined from Malaga in January scored his first goal for the club to break the deadlock and then the much-maligned Gervinho clinched the three points in stoppage time.
