  Brendan Rodgers wants a new deal to be offered to the Liverpool legend as soon as possible, which is likely to keep the midfielder at Anfield for the rest of his career.At 33-years-old the England skipper is still going strong, playing in every single minute of Liverpool’s Premier League campaign so far this season.Gerrard proved how valuable he is to the Liverpool cause on Sunday with a man of the match performance against Aston Villa, which saw him score one and clear another off the line to help his side to a 2-1 victory.Rodgers has revealed Gerrard has a year left on his current deal and is rumoured to be aiming to extend his contract by another two or three years which could keep the midfielder at Anfield until 2017.
