Celtic's Neil Lennon gets suspended

Under the terms of his previous ban, he was not permitted in the zone within 15 minutes of the final whistle.Lennon commented on his official Twitter page that he was "thrilled to be on the touchline for Sunday" and added "Cup Final is always a special occasion".Celtic are aiming to secure a league and cup double at Hampden on Sunday.Lennon has been given a suspended one-match ban for entering the "playing zone" during April's defeat by Motherwell. The Scottish FA said: "Mr Lennon was found in breach, with a one-match suspension applied. The tribunal suspended the sanction until the end of season 2013-14 and to take effect in the event that Mr Lennon is found in breach of rule 205 within that period.

Manchester City fans to thank former boss

He also lifted the FA Cup in 2011, but was relieved of his duties after City failed to win a trophy this season and were knocked out in the group stage of the Champions League.Keyworth also used Twitter to thank those who had given money, saying: "Thank you to everyone who has donated, supported or publicised this; it just shows what fans can do when they pull together. Very proud to be a blue at times like these.City fans, led by University of Nottingham student Adam Keyworth, plan to donate any money raised over the price of the advert to a local Manchester charity.Every single donation has been from everyday City fans and not one from any of our celebrity support. Keyworth, 21, started the online campaign and told BBC Sport: "We raised £5,000 in the first two days and the money has just continued to pour in.Incredibly, as donations continue to pour in, I am in the position to give every penny over the advert fee to a local Manchester charity, so more people benefit from this idea.We didn't get a chance to say goodbye to Mancini as the sacking was quite messy so we're hoping, now we have the money, to put the ad in this weekend.

Division One clubs may break away

There would be one automatic promotion/relegation exchange between this 'Championship' and the top flight in addition to play-offs involving the second-bottom side in the SPL and the second, third and fourth sides in the division below. We will do what we have to do now to proceed and we in the First Division are unanimous in our views. SFL motions require the support of 22 clubs to be passed and a formal vote will take place on 10 June. However, there would not be play-offs between the Championship and Scotland's third tier.We have no meeting organised with the SPL but we will organise that in the coming days.Currently, promotion/relegation play-offs exist between the First and Second Divisions and between Divisions Two and Three.SPL proposals for a merger with the SFL, a revised financial distribution model and more end-of-season play-offs appear unlikely to gain approval. The SFL held their AGM on Thursday and an initial show of hands reflected only 16 clubs in support of the SPL's 42-team proposals.Following the AGM, First Division clubs held a meeting of their own and Hamilton chairman Les Gray told the media: "We are at the end of it now and we think there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Wigan boss delays decision

Stoke City are interested in Martinez, while Everton are monitoring events. He managed to keep the club in the Premier League for three seasons and led the team to victory over Manchester City in this season's FA Cup final. On Wednesday, Whelan spoke of his relationship with Martinez. "We are very honest with each other," he told BBC Sport.Whelan's close relationship with Martinez has been at the heart of Wigan's recent success and the 76-year-old hopes that loyalty may yet have a bearing on his manager's future. Roberto has been dedicated to Wigan Athletic. He is so disappointed at getting relegated, as I am, that I don't think he has come round yet to the idea that we have just got to gear up, accept it - that's football - and get back as soon as possible, that's next season. There is a massive, massive amount of loyalty between Roberto and myself," added Whelan. "If he wants to stay, that is fantastic and I will be over the moon. It does take some swallowing when you get relegated, I fully understand that. But if he decides he wants to move his career I will fully respect that and I will give him every bit of support I can.Martinez joined Wigan as a player in 1995 but left in 2001, before returning as the club's manager in June 2009 after more than two years in charge at Swansea City.

Steven Nzonzi has transfer

Peter Coates, the Stoke chairman, said: "I can confirm that we have received a written transfer request from Steven Nzonzi. He made 38 appearances for the Potters this season and scored his first goal in the home defeat by Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month. He is our player and has three years remaining on his contract."The 24-year-old Frenchman, who was recently voted the club's young player of the year, has told the Potters he wishes to leave less than a year after his £3m move from Blackburn. The former France Under-21 international was frozen out by then Rovers manager Steve Kean before completing his move to Stoke on the final day of last summer's transfer window.

New drug-testing plans

For racist incidents involving spectators, a partial stadium closure for the first offence and a full stadium closure for a second, coupled with a fine of 50,000 euros (£42,800), will be applied.Talking about the blood-boosting drug involved in the case of disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong, John Fahey, said: "I simply say this about football - they are not testing enough for EPO. They can do more and we encourage them to do more.It may never be known if that was the case, as the blood bags used to convict Fuentes have been ordered to be destroyed, a ruling Spain's anti-doping agency (AEA) plans to appeal. The new measures were on the agenda at Uefa's executive committee meeting, held in London prior to Saturday's Champions League final between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich. The extent of the use of performance-enhancing drugs in football was hinted at in the Operation Puerto case in Spain. In February, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said he had asked Uefa several times to implement new drug-testing procedures. While that investigation, which led to Eufemiano Fuentes being found guilty of running one of the world's largest sports doping rings, centred around cyclists, the Spanish doctor has boasted of a client list that extended into a number of other disciplines. When you have a doping control at Uefa, they do not take blood, they take only urine," the 63-year-old said. "I have asked many times [at Uefa meetings] in Geneva [for that to be changed].

Rio Ferdinand signs new deal

The defender made 34 appearances for United in 2012-13, including 28 in the Premier League, more than any of the club's other central defenders. He has made 432 appearances for United, with a Champions League triumph and two League Cup wins to add to his six Premier League titles.Ferdinand said: "Who wouldn't want to play in this fantastic team in front of 76,000 fans each week?Earlier this month, retiring Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said Ferdinand had enjoyed his best season for the club and would be offered a new deal.I can now fully concentrate on my club career, which has worked well for me over the past few years.Ferdinand's contribution to United's Premier League title success saw him voted into the Professional Footballers' Association's team of the year by his peers. This is a great team to be part of and we are now moving into a new era with the club which is very exciting. The former West Ham United and Leeds United defender, who was capped 81 times by England, joined United in July 2002 for nearly £30m, making him the world's most expensive defender.I have met with David (Moyes). I am really looking forward to working with him and winning many more trophies with this great club.

Europa League winners could earn

Meanwhile, Berlin's Olympic Stadium has been revealed as the venue for the Champions League final in 2015.Uefa is also expected to announce it will raise the maximum number of Champions League qualifiers per country from four to five, if the winners of the Europa League from 2015-16 do not finish in their domestic league's qualifying places for the Champions League. That year's Europa League decider will be at Warsaw's National Stadium, which staged the opening game of Euro 2012.Should the winners of both European competitions come from the same country and not finish in their league's qualifying places, both would be in the Champions League the following season. The Europa League generates far less income and media attention than the Champions League.Uefa is keen to avoid a repeat of the scenario that happened in the Premier League in 2011-12 when Chelsea won the Champions League and Tottenham were placed into the Europa League despite finishing fourth in the top flight. The governing body has tried a number of initiatives to increase interest, with previous attempts including the change of name from Uefa Cup to its current title in 2009.This season's final was contested between two teams who entered that way, Chelsea beating Benfica 2-1 in Amsterdam.Currently, teams who finish third in their Champions League group drop into the competition.

Dortmund will miss Mario Gotze

Gotze will become the most expensive German player of all time when his transfer goes through on 1 July.BBC World Service has all the build up and full match commentary of the Champions League Final from 1500 BST on Saturday,Ballack, who played for the Bavarian side between 2002 and 2006, believes he is the best young player in the Bundesliga.Playmaker Gotze, 20, has been ruled out of Saturday's final at Wembley against Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich because of a hamstring injury. Ballack said it would be a mistake for Bayern to write off Dortmund, who beat his former side 5-2 in the German Cup final last season without Gotze. The fact that Bayern signed him for so much money shows that he is maybe the greatest talent we have at the moment," he said.He will join Bayern in the summer for £31.5m after agreeing a deal in April. He is a big loss for Dortmund. Also, for the guy to reach his first final against his new club and then miss out, it's a shame.Ballack told the BBC World Service: "It's not just about Gotze. Dortmund are dangerous for Bayern Munich.Dortmund had a few fantastic games without him against Bayern in the last few years.

Hughes is leading contender

Talks have not taken place but progress is expected next week. The 39-year-old Spaniard, whose side won the FA Cup but were relegated from the Premier League, had been expected to inform chairman Dave Whelan of his wishes on Thursday. He left Ewood Park four years later for Manchester City, where he spent 18 months before being replaced by Roberto Mancini.Stoke will not rush the appointment and although some at the club have privately spoken of a need to "change direction", Hughes has emerged as the choice of key decision-makers.The former Queens Park Rangers boss, 49, would be open to the prospect, with leading figures at the club of the view that Hughes would be a "good fit".The former Manchester United, Barcelona and Chelsea striker started his managerial career with Wales in 1999, before leaving the post to take charge at Blackburn in 2004.Pulis left Stoke on Tuesday after seven years in charge. Wigan manager Roberto Martinez is another under consideration but Hughes is the frontrunner.A one-season spell at Fulham followed, before he was named QPR manager in January 2012. He saved the Loftus Road club from relegation that season, but was sacked just three months into the following campaign.

Hibernian and Glasgow City

Rangers remain third after a 1-0 win at Spartans, while Celtic were 3-1 victors at Falkirk.Hibernian thumped Hutchison Vale 9-0, with Lizzie Arnott netting a hat-trick, while City beat Buchan 7-0.Nicky Wright scored twice as Aberdeen won 3-2 at Forfar and Hamilton beat bottom club Kilwinning 2-1.

Chelsea Ladies fight back

The home side were on the back foot, but they forced their way into contention and in the 27th minute drew level through Jakobsson's well-struck 20-yard drive. The Blues keeper then denied Da Costa, tipping the American midfielder's 79th-minute shot over the bar.The Blues had recovered well from their shaky start and either side of half-time looked the more likely team to find a second goal. But despite the late pressure Liverpool, managed by former Chelsea boss Matt Beard, could not force an equaliser. Third-placed Bristol Academy, who have played a game fewer than both Chelsea and Liverpool, are the only remaining team with a 100% record. They did so 12 minutes after the interval, Aluko netting a 12-yard shot after the ball had broken loose in a goalmouth scramble for her second goal of the campaign. It meant that the Reds lost their 100% record as well as their place at the top of the table to Emma Hayes's side. That stung Liverpool into a response and only a good save by Lynn prevented England midfielder Fara Williams from equalising with a long-range effort.

Steph Houghton strikes late

Striker Ellen White then fired wide of Bardsley's goal from a good position before the keeper saved again from Little before half-time.Lincoln had created no clear-cut chances but with just a couple of minutes remaining they went ahead when Roberts tapped home from close range. Everton and Birmingham City, fourth and fifth in the table respectively, battled out a goalless draw. She also had to tip a Gilly Flaherty shot over the bar as the visitors continued to create the better openings after the breakArsenal looked set for a second successive defeat but they salvaged a point when Houghton smashed home a 20-yard shot in the last minute. .The Gunners forced a succession of corners but, with Lincoln defending frantically at times, a breakthrough still proved elusive.

Bristol overtake Chelsea

Bristol were in control for the majority of the game, though they were unable to create any clear-cut scoring opportunities in the early stages.Natalia doubled the lead two minutes later, the Spaniard running at the defence then striking home a 12-yard shot for her fifth goal of the season. The first on-target goal attempt came at the other end, Brazilian midfielder Ester Dos Santos forcing goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain into a 34th-minute save. And a third goal almost arrived in the 67th minute as midfielder Lucy Staniforth smashed a 25-yard drive against the crossbar. But the home side were quickly back on top, and three minutes before half-time striker Natasha Harding's 18-yard shot was well saved by keeper Shannon Lynn.Chelsea attempted in vain to fight back as Bristol maintained their grip right to the end of an entertaining game.Academy then started the second half at a blistering pace and went ahead when Rose headed in captain Corinne Yorston's inswinging 48th-minute corner.

Doncaster Rovers Belles

We've had support from all over the world and people are angry and bemused at the decision. The FA made its decision via an independent panel where clubs were assessed on their financial sustainability, where factors such as management, marketing and the quality of their coaching staff and facilities were considered. But we are built on a wider fabric than one big benefactor. Doncaster Rovers Belles are a massive community club. We are made of strong stuff and we will fight on.Doncaster discovered the news after one game of this season, with boss John Buckley calling the situation "farcical".As one of the founding members of the national women's league, Doncaster have twice won the league and FA Cup double and were synonymous as women's football grew in the early 1990s.The decision to split the league into two tiers, with relegation and promotion between both, is part of the FA's five-year plan to make women's football the second most-played sport in the country behind men's football. But from next season the summer league will expand to two divisions, with Manchester City joining seven other teams in FA WSL 1.To say we are disappointed might be the understatement of the year," Rovers chairman Alan Smart told BBC Sport.Having finished second from bottom in the first two WSL seasons, Doncaster will drop down a division to FA WSL 2 and compete against nine other sides.

Everton reach Continental Cup

The 33-year-old was quickly in the action on her return to set up midfielder Millie Bright for a second-minute 25-yard shot that flew past the post.Donny had chances to regain the lead straight after the break, but keeper Lizzie Durack made excellent saves from Smith and then defender Ashleigh Mills. Everton will be joined in the semi-finals by local rivals Liverpool if the Reds get at least a draw from their final game in the same group, against Chelsea on Sunday. And England was unlucky not to put the Belles in front when her well-struck 12th-minute shot thudded against the crossbar.Despite creating several other half-chances, however, Donny were on the way to defeat when Jones scored with a tremendous 20-yard shot. Her strike partner Jessica Sigsworth then ran with the ball from inside her own half before firing in a long-range effort that went narrowly wide. And three minutes into stoppage time Duggan completed the scoring from the penalty spot following a foul on midfielder Kelly Jones. The pressure paid off, though, as the home side took a deserved lead in the 35th minute with England latching on to an inch-perfect Sigsworth through-ball to shoot home.

Glasgow City ease to away victory

Kilwinning recorded their first points of the season in a 5-4 win over relegation rivals Falkirk. Buchan also triumphed 5-4 against Hamilton Accies.I was really delighted for Sarah Crilly to get the third goal. She took it very well and getting a third killed the game.Glasgow City's Suzanne Lappin broke the deadlock at second-placed Hibs in the first half, closely followed by a Leanne Ross penalty to put the reigning champions 2-0 ahead at the break.Leanne Crichton was very composed with the fourth to round off a very good day for us and a massive well done to all the players.Further goals for City came through Sarah Crilly and Leanne Crichton to round off an excellent day for the league leaders.Kilwinning recorded their first points of the season in a 5-4 win over relegation rivals Falkirk. Buchan also triumphed 5-4 against Hamilton Accies.City head coach Eddie Wolecki Black said: "We are obviously very happy with the result and I have to say that Hibs are as good a team as we have played against this season.

Lyon aim for historic

In Lyon, the tournament debutants face a club who have gone 118 competitive games without losing other than on penalties.Despite those achievements, Wolfsburg midfielder Martina Mueller insisted her side were not intimidated by Lyon.Their fearsome form continued in the semi-finals, where fellow French team Juvisy were beaten 9-1 on aggregate thanks to doubles in both legs from the club's second all-time goalscorer Lotta Schelin. Mueller's belief comes from a breakthrough season for the north German team in which they have won their first Bundesliga and German Cup titles,  as well as defeating Arsenal 4-1 on aggregate to make the Stamford Bridge showpiece. The Sweden striker will take on an ever more important role in the final after fellow attacker Laetitia Tonazzi, who has scored 17 top-flight goals this term, was ruled out with a calf injury. Unfortunately for Wolfsburg, striker Selina Wagner - who scored in the second leg against Arsenal - will miss the fixture after being ruled out for six months  with a ruptured cruciate knee ligament. In better news for Lyon, Swiss midfielder Lara Dickenmann is expected to have overcome a calf problem in time for the match. We announced during pre-season training that we wanted to win everything. With the girls, we set ourselves the challenge of winning as many games as possible and of achieving our goals.Lyon have also established a track record of beating German opposition, after seeing off Turbine Potsdam and Frankfurt in the previous two Women's Champions League finals.

Sheffield Utd seek Stuart McCall

Motherwell finished their season on Sunday with a 2-0 defeat by St Johnstone but McCall's side had already clinched second place in the Scottish Premier League and a place in next season's Europa League qualifiers.McCall, who took over at Fir Park midway through season 2010-11, signed a new two-year deal with Motherwell in March. I've always been happy here and if anything at all ever comes up and is put to me that is the time we'll talk about it, but at this moment in time it's been pure speculation. And, speaking after the the match McDiarmid Park, McCall said: "It's a story that's not worth speaking about because it's all speculation.t is understood Motherwell have acknowledged the approach from the Blades but that no major developments are imminent.I've never as a player, coach or manager sought to go elsewhere.I think when you've had a decent season, or a couple of decent seasons which I've been fortunate to have, then speculation will grow.

Brighton apologise to Crystal Palace

We have reviewed internal procedures to guard against this happening again," said chief executive Paul Barber. At this point, I'm unable to give you answers to all the questions you may have. What I can say to you is that every football club faces a variety of challenges at different points in its history. We are no exception and I can assure you that we will address each of these challenges. In an email to the club's season-ticket holders, Barber added it had been a "challenging" week for the club.Barber added: "We apologised to Crystal Palace as soon as the vandalism in their dressing room was discovered and again more formally a few days after the match.Defeat at home to our biggest rivals in a play-off semi-final; the suspension from work and pending investigation of three members of our staff [Poyet, assistant manager Mauricio Taricco and first-team coach Charlie Oatway]; and the revelation of an unsavoury incident that took place in our visitors' dressing room last Monday," he said.Barber declined to comment on the unrelated suspension of Poyet, Taricco and Oatway. Many supporters have asked me, both in person and in writing, about recent events and, in particular, how and why they have happened.

Wayne and Coleen Rooney

She wrote he weighed 7lb 11.5oz (3.5kg) and "we're all so happy and doing well".Rooney missed Manchester United's last game of the season against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday to be with his wife. The United striker also announced the birth on Twitter, writing that "both Klay and Coleen are fine [and] we're all delighted".Klay Anthony Rooney's birth at 02:11 BST was announced by his mother on her Twitter feed.Klay is the younger brother to the Rooneys' first son, Kai, three, who was born in November 2009.

Robbie Keane out of Republic

Keane, 32, will return to the squad for the World Cup qualifier against the Faroe Islands on 7 June and the friendly against Spain four days later. The Republic play England at Wembley on Wednesday, 29 May and Georgia at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday, 2 June. The game against the world and European champions is in New York. Both matches fall outside the Fifa international window and Keane is required for club duty with LA Galaxy. Keane, who has scored 54 international goals in 123 caps, only recently returned to action for the Major League Soccer club after missing a number of matches because of an ankle injury.Giovanni Trapattoni's face England at Wembley on 29 May before taking taking Georgia at the Aviva Stadium on 2 June. The LA Galaxy striker played in the Republic's 0-0 World Cup qualifier draw in Sweden in March but missed the 2-2 draw against Austria four days later because of a calf injury.

Neil Doncaster wants SFL

This would not have meant the SPL clubs supporting the SFL clubs to a greater extent. The SPL clubs are in favour of a merger of the SPL and SFL to form a new single league body, the Scottish Professional Football League, with a 12-10-10-10 format. Instead, the SFL clubs wanted the spread of money to their 30 clubs to be more generous to Second and Third Division clubs at the expense of those in the First Division. They have also approved play-offs involving the 11th-placed club in the top-flight and the teams finishing second, third and fourth in the second tier. This was one of three key points agreed by the SFL clubs when they met on 17 May.However, on Monday the SPL clubs voted against the SFL plans. They want the second-tier clubs to retain their bigger share of money so that relegation from the top tier, now an increased possibility with the introduction of play-offs, is not so financially damaging. The other areas of agreement were a plan to perform due diligence on the proposed merged league body, and the governance model, which would mean a board made up of three top league representatives and one from each of the other leagues. The SPL want a 3-2-1 set-up plus three independent board members, where the top tier provides three members, the second tier two and the third tier one member, whereas the SFL wanted a 3-1-1-1 membership.Longmuir supplied this information to the SPL clubs ahead of their meeting on Monday, but the suggestions were rejected.

Shakhtar Donetsk defender Razvan

I'm hugely happy that we've got a player of his experience and his character," West Ham boss Sam Allardyce told the club's website. West Ham have also agreed a fee of around £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll, although the England striker has yet to decide if he wants to join the Hammers permanently following his season-long loan spell.Captain of his country since 2011, Rat has helped Shakhtar to seven league titles, the Uefa Cup in 2009 and made over 50 Champions League appearances in a 10-year stint with the Ukrainian club.He played in both of Shakhtar's Champions League games against Chelsea earlier this season.Shakhtar had offered him a very good contract, but his ambition was to come and try his abilities and skills in England," added Allardyce. The 31-year-old left-back has made 88 international appearances for Romania. He speaks perfect English, which he taught himself, and that shows the discipline and the character of the man. Discipline, character and ability are the three big things in the Premier League.

Commons ends Scotland career

Commons added: "I have thought about this decision for some time.Commons was often omitted from Scotland squads under Strachan's predecessor, Craig Levein, a decision he once called "baffling"."I am on very good terms with him and I wish him and the Scotland team all the very best for the future. I am sure Gordon will do a great job.At this stage of my career I just want to give Celtic my 100% commitment and ensure I can prolong my club career as long as possible.Despite playing well for Celtic in the Scottish Premier League and in the Champions League, he did not make Levein's original squad for the World Cup qualifiers in Wales and Belgium last autumn, but was then called up - and played in both matches - when Robert Snodgrass, Jordan Rhodes and Steven Naismith were unavailable.I also want to give my young family more attention, something I have not been able to do for some time.Born in Mansfield and qualifying for Scotland through a Scots-born grandmother, he was given his international debut by George Burley as a second-half sub in a 0-0 draw against Northern Ireland in 2008 while a Derby County player. Neil Lennon had spoken to Gordon in person a while back and I was really pleased to speak to Gordon today.Strachan, who left Commons out of his squad to face Croatia on 7 June, said: "I spoke to Kris tonight and understand his family considerations. I wish him the best of luck for the future.

Hummels rejects talk of Borussia

When asked whether the all-German decider at Wembley would be his last game for Borussia, he told Kicker magazine:  "Of course not.Hummels played a pivotal role at the heart of the Borussia defence that won the Bundesliga title in 2010-11 and 2011-12, as well as helping them reach this season's Champions League showpiece thanks to a 4-3 aggregate last-four victory against Real Madrid.I've not had any contact with Barcelona or any other club," he added. "I don't think it's my duty to dismiss rumours which other people invent. He originally joined on loan from Bavarian giants Bayern five years ago, before agreeing a permanent switch in 2009. If there was to be any truth in them, I would say so. If I say there is nothing behind the speculation, then people should believe me.Hummels, 24, has earned a reputation as one of Europe's finest centre-backs since arriving at Dortmund in 2008.The announcement from Hummels - who is expected to recover from a sprained ankle to feature this weekend - will be a boost to Borussia, who will lose playmaker Mario Gotze this summer after he agreed a 37 million euro (£31.5m) switch to Bayern.

Liverpool and West Ham agree

The 24-year-old Ivory Coast international finished as 31-goal top scorer in the Dutch league this season, but West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has made no secret about Carroll being his main summer target,Despite a knee injury ruling him out for December, Carroll scored seven times for Allardyce's side during the season, form which encouraged the West Ham boss to pursue a permanent deal.Meanwhile, Carroll has withdrawn from the England squad for the upcoming friendlies against the Republic of Ireland and Brazil. because of a heel injury.Andy is a player who is wanting to enjoy his football. He lives for his football and wants to play every game. He wants to use his strengths and score as many as he can - but he also works very hard for the team.Carroll was signed by Kenny Dalglish and moved to Liverpool on transfer deadline day in January 2011, for what remains a record fee for a British player of £35m.I have had a great season here at West Ham, really enjoyed being part of a great set of lads in the team, with the staff around us and the fans," Carroll told the club's official website. He had impressed by scoring 31 times for his boyhood club Newcastle United in 81 appearances, but his time at Anfield was short lived.Everyone has been so welcoming to me and I have been over the moon to be here. This is a great club.Coupled with the arrival of Brendan Rodgers and a new style of play, Carroll's return of just six goals in 44 outings for Liverpool saw him loaned to West Ham in late August 2012.

Tony Pulis leaves Stoke City

The 55-year-old was appointed Potters boss for a second time in 2006, and two years later he guided the club to the top flight after a 23-year absence.Former England international Michael Owen, who has retired from playing after a season at Stoke, praised Pulis on Twitter, writing: "No denying he did a great job getting them to the Premier League and keeping them there.Stoke have just finished 13th in their fifth Premier League campaign. He first took over at Stoke in 2002 and stayed for three years before a season at Plymouth. He returned to the Potteries in 2006 and gained promotion to the Premier League in the second season of his second spell in charge. The Potters released a brief statement saying: "Stoke City and Tony Pulis confirm that they have mutually agreed that Tony will leave the club with immediate effect.Stoke never finished lower than 14th in five top-flight campaigns under Pulis and he led the club to their first FA Cup final in 2011, when they lost 1-0 to Manchester City. The defeat still offered a route into the Europa League, where Stoke were beaten in the last 32 by Spanish side Valencia.Pulis was the subject of unrest from some fans towards the end of the season as Stoke flirted with relegation, but the Welshman stated on several occasions that Premier League survival remained the club's main objective.Ahead of Stoke's 1-1 draw at Southampton on the final day of the season, Pulis expressed his desire to remain at the club next season.Stoke made a strong start to the campaign and were just four points off the top four on 1 December. However, they only managed four league wins in 23 subsequent league matches, suffering 11 defeats.

PFA investigates decision to fine

Taylor said the PFA would determine if the punishments were "acceptable" or if there were grounds for an appeal.Black Cats defenders Phil Bardsley and Matthew Kilgallon were left out of the squad for the game at White Hart Lane, having been pictured in a casino  in midweek.I wouldn't want to go any further at this moment, so as not to prejudice any particular situation," he said.Nobody says we're against discipline at the PFA. but it's got to be proportionate," said Taylor. "We have a recommended code for clubs to adhere to. Taylor admitted there had been contact between the PFA and Sunderland players already, while discussions had also been held with the Premier League club. But it's not always good to have the manager coming out in public. These things are better dealt with person to person internally and it's better for the future. There has been some complaints, yes," said Taylor.Fifteen years ago, Di Canio was represented by Taylor after pushing over referee Paul Alcock in 1998 when he was a Sheffield Wednesday player.Di Canio took over from Martin O'Neill as manager of the Wearside club in March and has won two of his seven games in charge to help the club avoid relegation. The PFA were there for Paolo when he was a player and we'll be there for him with his players. He is aware of the role of the PFA and knows we are there for the players. The 44-year-old Italian was scathing about the behaviour of some of his players following the 1-0 defeat at Tottenham on the final day of the season.

Roma given partial stadium

After the striker was the target of more racial abuse in Sunday's game with Napoli, the south stand of Roma's ground will be temporarily closed. That 8,486-capacity Curva Sud part of Stadio Olimpico houses the club's most hardcore fans - called 'Ultras'. What occurred Sunday night is appalling and unacceptable. AS Roma does not want those individuals [who are] responsible as fans," the club said in a statement. Roma's partial stadium closure does not apply to Sunday's Coppa Italia derby at the ground with neighbours Lazio. The actions of this small group are hateful and also hurt our club and our loyal law-abiding supporters.Balotelli was one of three black players the Italian football authorities declared had been victimised after play in the 0-0 draw between Milan and Roma was stopped for about two minutes. We have not yet received a detailed report from the league or federation but will continue to work with them and law enforcement to ensure that everything possible is done to identify and ban those involved from football stadia.Despite both Roma and Napoli players wearing anti-racism T-shirts while warming up before last weekend's 2-1 win for the hosts, the chants reoccurred after news filtered through to the Olimpico crowd that Balotelli had scored a late penalty in Milan's 2-1 victory at Siena which helped secure the club's Champions League qualifying place. As well as having to shut the Curva Sud section for one game at the start of next season, Roma have been issued with another 50,000 euros (£42,400) fine.

Paris St-Germain striker wins

The Player of the Year award had been won for the past two seasons by winger Eden Hazard, who left Lille for Chelsea in a deal reported to be worth £32m in June.Ancelotti - who has asked permission to leave for Real Madrid - shared the best coach honour with Christophe Galtier after the 46-year-old ended St Etienne's three-decade long wait for silverware with victory in the Coupe de la Ligue.Ibrahimovic joined PSG from AC Milan last summer for a reported £15.7m. Their title victory was the eighth of his trophy-filled career - with a further two stripped because of a match-fixing scandal with Juventus.PSG's Italy international defensive midfielder Marco Verratti was beaten to the young player gong by Bastia's attacking midfielder Florian Thauvin. With one game left to play away at Lorient next Sunday, his tally  is currently just one shy of the French all-time record for a season of 30 goals, set by Jean-Pierre Papin while playing for Marseille in 1989-90.Ibrahimovic, 31, has scored 29 top-flight goals on the way to the ambitious capital club winning their first French title since 1994.Ibrahimovic's strikes helped him edge out colleagues Thiago Silva and Blaise Matuidi, as well as the league's second top scorer, St Etienne's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, for the lead players' prize when it was announced on Sunday.

Dortmund confident Mats Hummels

Meanwhile, Bayern defender Holger Badstuber has picked up another long-term knee ligament injury. The 24-year-old defender originally suffered the problem in the Bundesliga meeting with Dortmund in December. But Dortmund's team doctor has eased those concerns by revealing Hummels has only suffered a sprained ankle.Obviously, we'll give him all the time in the world to get fit," Bayern sporting director Matthias Sammer said. "We're optimistic. I'm confident he'll be back, stronger than ever. For Dortmund, the news about Hummels's availability is another boost after head coach Jurgen Klopp said last week that playmaker Mario Gotze should be ready for the all-German decider with his recovery from a thigh problem "going according to plan".Badstuber, who has been capped 30 times by Germany, suffered a fresh tear in the ligament in his right knee while undergoing rehabilitation. The 20-year-old, who will join Bayern for £31.5m in the summer, has not played since being injured in last month's semi-final second-leg meeting with Real Madrid. He will have an additional operation and will be out of action for at least another six months.

David Moyes move a boost

Moyes, who has been Everton manager for 11 years, will replace fellow Scot Ferguson on 1 July. Ferguson was United boss for 26 years and won 38 trophies.Speaking to BBC Sport at the annual League Managers Association awards dinner in London, the 58-year-old Allardyce said: "Unfortunately, the volatile nature of instant results revolves around every division now and we have to live with that pressure. For David to get that position is a great achievement for him, a great achievement for British managers to look up to," added Englishman Allardyce. But it would be nice if a little more stability came from the owners and that young managers were given much more of a chance to start learning and improving. The game would evolve a lot, lot better. They will think: 'If I do my job correctly I may have a chance of getting there at some stage or other in my career.'You have to be very lucky to survive the ups and downs and that's getting harder and harder," said Hodgson, who has coached in eight different countries.Allardyce also wants club owners to give more job stability to managers, something he thinks would improve the overall standard of British football.Allardyce also discussed the imminent return of Jose Mourinho to British football. The Portuguese is tipped to become Chelsea boss for a second time following confirmation that his three-year reign at Real Madrid will finish at the end of the Spanish season.Roberto Mancini's sacking by Manchester City last week took the number of managerial casualties this season to 54 across all four English leagues.

Simeon Jackson & Elliott Ward

Their attitude this season has been first-class. They are all top individuals," said boss Chris Hughton.Goalkeeper Camp only made one start after signing a short-term deal in January, while academy products Francomb and Sheriff have also been told they can find new clubs.Left-back Tierney, 27, is reportedly lining up a move to Championship side Bolton,  and fellow defender Durojaiye is set to join Scottish club Falkirk, who are now managed by Gary Holt, the former assistant academy director at Norwich.Korey Smith, Tom Adeyemi, Lee Camp, George Francomb, Ramil Sheriff and Scott Olumide Durojaiye are also leaving Carrow Road.Canada international Jackson, 26, leaves after scoring 21 goals in 85 games during three years with the club.Striker Chris Martin has already agreed a deal to join Derby this summer.Ward, 28, finished the season at Nottingham Forest, and midfielders Smith and Adeyemi also ended the campaign on loan at Oldham and Brentford respectively.

Leigh Griffiths & Tony Watt

Griffiths, who has scored 28 goals this season on loan from Wolves, made his senior international debut as a substitute against Luxembourg last year.Dundee United midfielder Armstrong, Aberdeen youngster Jack and Celtic forward Watt graduate from the Scotland Under-21 ranks, while United winger Mackay-Steven has previously been in the senior squad. As well as the loss of the experienced Miller, the Scotland coach also has to contend with the long-term absence of national captain Darren Fletcher and Sunderland forward Steven Fletcher.Over the last couple of seasons he has decided he wants to improve and get better and he has done that," said Strachan of Griffiths.Watt scored twice on his Celtic debut in April 2012 and gained further notoriety when his goal against Barcelona in a November Champions League match proved to be the winner.People can help you on your way to become better but your career is entirely in your own hands. At this moment he is shaping a good career.Strachan indicated that Celtic duo Kris Commons and Charlie Mulgrew were being left out to give them some rest, while Vancouver Whitecaps striker Miller is struggling with a hamstring injury. He was unfortunate, he was very close to being in the squad the last time. This time he has achieved that.

Messi urges Barcelona

We can't lose our heads. We can't change our style of play," the 25-year-old attacker told Television Azteca. Despite their Champions League campaign ending in disappointment, Barca claimed the La Liga title back from Real Madrid with four games left to play. You can't always win," added Argentina international Messi, the current World Player of the Year. "We've been playing our brand of football for years and managers and teams have studied it.This success came amid repeated health fears for head coach Tito Vilanova, who was sidelined for three months in December following an operation in New York to treat throat cancer. We have to stay calm and focus on next year.Vilanova, 44, in his first season in sole charge of the club after moving up from assistant to replace former boss Pep Guardiola, has also travelled back to America this week for more "pioneering treatment".However, defender Gerard Pique thought the Spanish club would have to change and said: "We are not the best any more, other teams are.But we noticed a change when he left, not because Jordi Roura or the training staff who stayed on didn't do a good job but because we were missing our head manager. Club vice-president Josep Bartomeu has also stated his belief that "four or five" new signings are required.

Alex Ferguson wins Manager

The 71-year-old, who won 38 trophies in a 26-year reign at Old Trafford, will be succeeded by Everton's David Moyes, who takes over on 1 July.Finding words to adequately describe the monumental levels of achievement and the indelible legacy Sir Alex Ferguson leaves in the game is nigh on impossible. This evening's award adds yet another record to that list, making him the only person to secure the much-coveted LMA Manager of the Year Award for a fourth time. England boss Roy Hodgson was elected into the LMA's 1,000 club for managers who had been in charge of 1,000 games after the body agreed to take overseas and international matches into account. It has been overwhelming," said Ferguson. "The club has been fantastic and congratulations to West Brom with the way they handled yesterday [Sunday].David Moyes, his choice of successor to the Old Trafford throne, has won it three times and I know that Sir Alex will hope and believe that David goes on to equal and surpass the new record.I think [West Brom manager] Steve Clarke should get an award because anyone who scores five against United deserves it.He said: "I am just very proud of the whole club - a lot of people in the last two years have put hard work into building this.LMA chairman Howard Wilkinson said: "There is no doubt that the LMA Annual Awards are perceived as the most accurate measure of a manager's ability because there are no better judges of your performance than your peers.

Real Madrid boss to leave

Real are currently 13 points behind Barcelona in the league and were beaten by city rivals Atletico in the Spanish Cup final last Friday.Real had not won a trophy in the two years preceding Mourinho's appointment. We have no pre-contract signed with any managerial candidate," he said. "It's something we'll have to look at in the coming days. They also lost in the semi-finals of the Champions League in each of their three seasons under former Porto and Inter Milan boss Mourinho. His deal was scheduled to run until 2016 after he had signed a contract extension following last season's La Liga success. Mourinho finished second in La Liga in his first season - four points behind Barcelona - but won the title a year later, amassing a record 100 points in the process.Real Madrid have two games left this season.  They are away at Real Sociedad on 26 May before Mourinho takes charge at the Bernabeu for the final time on 1 June against Osasuna. An agreement has been made on his exit now, though, with fellow former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti tipped to replace him after he expressed his desire to make the switch to the Bernabeu. The club and manager agree the timing is right to bring our relationship to an end," Perez added. "On behalf of the board of directors, I would like to thank Jose Mourinho for all his hard work.

League TV revenue table

Television revenues will increase for all clubs next season after the Premier League's broadcast rights were sold for £3.018bn for seasons 2013-14 to 2015-16, an increase of £1.77bn.Half of all domestic broadcast revenue is split evenly among the league's clubs, with a quarter of the money paid according to a team's Premier League position at the end of the season and the final 25% depending on how often a team is televised. Both Everton and Aston Villa appeared on television four more times in 2012-13 than in their previous campaigns, prompting both to benefit from a £2.9m rise in revenue. Newcastle United's 16th place finish led to a £9m fall in their share. The figure does not account for overseas rights, which are still under negotiation, and such a sharp rise in revenue prompted several managers and chairmen to emphasise the importance of staying in the league.Despite finishing third, Chelsea (£55m) earned less than fourth-placed Arsenal (£57.1m) and fifth-placed Tottenham (£55.8m) because fewer of their games were televised.Relegated Wigan, Reading and QPR will all receive an increased parachute payment, while next season's league winners are expected to receive close to £100m in broadcast earnings.Fulham, Norwich City, Reading, Southampton, Stoke, Swansea City, West Brom and Wigan Athletic were the least televised clubs, appearing live on 10 occasions each.In total, the Premier League's 20 clubs received more than £972m from domestic and overseas television rights in 2012-13.

Liverpool will move

The expected signing of the Ivory Coast international goes against the Liverpool owners' preference for buying youth and he would be the first player over the age of 24 that Brendan Rodgers has signed since taking charge at Anfield. However, his City career never recovered from a six-month ban during the 2010-11 season for taking a banned substance found in diet pills.Toure only made 18 appearances for Manchester City in the 2012-13 season and was left out of their squad for the Champions League campaign.Toure is in the United States as part of City's post-season tour but the proposed move to Anfield is likely to progress quickly once he returns. He and younger brother Yaya Toure were part of the Blues' team that won the Premier League in 2012, the club's first title for 44 years.

PFA investigates decision

I wouldn't want to go any further at this moment, so as not to prejudice any particular situation," he said.Black Cats defenders Phil Bardsley and Matthew Kilgallon were left out of the squad for the game at White Hart Lane, having been pictured in a casino  in midweek. The PFA were there for Paolo when he was a player and we'll be there for him with his players. He is aware of the role of the PFA and knows we are there for the players.Taylor admitted there had been contact between the PFA and Sunderland players already, while discussions had also been held with the Premier League club.Players know when they've done wrong and when they've been a problem. For the most part, they will accept that. There has been some complaints, yes," said Taylor. But it's not always good to have the manager coming out in public. These things are better dealt with person to person internally and it's better for the future.Di Canio was scathing about the behaviour of some of his players following the 1-0 defeat at Tottenham on the final day of the season.

Pulis is set to leave

Pulis was the subject of unrest from some fans towards the end of the season as Stoke flirted with relegation, but he stated on several occasions that Premier League survival remained the club's main objective. He consolidated Stoke's Premier League status in the years to follow and guided the club to their first FA Cup final - where they lost 1-0 to Manchester City. The defeat still offered a route into the Europa League, where Stoke were beaten in the last 32 by Spanish side Valencia.A 13th-placed finish this season was one higher than the previous campaign, but Stoke were unable to build on a strong start which left them just three points off the top four in early December. The 55-year-old was appointed Potters boss for a second time in 2006, and two years later he guided the club to the top flight after a 23-year absence.Pulis becomes the 56th manager to leave his role since the start of the 2012-13 season.Pulis's future has been in doubt for some time and he has been told the club feel the time is right to part ways after seven years in charge. The former Bristol City and Bournemouth manager first took over at Stoke in 2002 and stayed for three years before a season at Plymouth. He returned to the Potteries in 2006 and gained promotion to the Premier League in the second season of his second spell in charge.

Spurs miss out on top

Referee Andre Marriner denied Tottenham two clear penalties before Bale fired home his 26th goal of the season right at the death to give the home side three points.Bale charged through on to Tom Huddlestone's through-ball and entered the box but he collided with Larsson, who used both his arms to bring the Welshman down in the box. The home fans held their breath as Marriner put his whistle to his lips, but tension gave way to anger as the referee booked Bale for diving, which enraged the Spurs bench. The feeling that nothing was going Tottenham's way continued on the hour when Colback saved on the goal line from both Scott Parker and Aaron Lennon in quick succession. Tottenham continued to pepper Sunderland's goal but Mignolet held strong. Vaughan was then dismissed after picking up a second yellow for a late tackle on Lennon.Sebastian Larsson bundled Bale over in the box, but the 23-year-old was booked for diving, while Carlos Cuellar clearly handled Clint Dempsey's shot but the referee's whistle stayed silent. Tottenham will have to settle for a place in the Europa League again next season, as Arsenal's 1-0 win at Newcastle ensured that they finished in fourth position.Tottenham raged against Marriner for the second time in the 51st minute when they were denied what appeared to be another blatant penalty. The ball pinged around the Sunderland box and fell to Dempsey, whose shot was blocked by the outstretched arm of Carlos Cuellar. Marriner again paused for a second before waving play on.After beating Arsenal here on March 3 Spurs held a seven-point gap over their biggest rivals, but a run of five wins in their remaining nine games allowed Arsenal to finish above their rivals for the 18th consecutive season.

Torres strike sees

Twelve months to the day since Chelsea's Champions League win in Munich, Juan Mata put the hosts in front, only for Steven Naismith to swiftly equalise for Manchester United-bound Moyes' visitors.Naismith went close before equalising when he capitalised on a mistake from David Luiz. Luiz failed to control a regulation ball and Naismith nipped in, received a return pass from Victor Anichebe and clipped in over the advancing Petr Cech. Darron Gibson went close from a shot which deflected off Nathan Ake, hit the post, Cech's head, then the post again. The Europa League winners were on top in the second half and sealed victory through £50million striker Torres' first league goal since December 23 as Rafael Benitez's seven-month spell ended with a 28th win from 48 matches.elavic, on for Naismith, headed straight at Cech before fluffing a glorious chance when Leighton Baines crossed to the far post.Substitute Nikica Jelavic had three good chances for Everton, but Moyes' men were beaten in his 518th and last game in charge before his move to Old Trafford.Chelsea snatched the winner when Oscar's cross from the right was met with a cushioned header by substitute Victor Moses and Torres was clinical, his half-volley beating Howard at his near post. The opener came when Oscar surged through the middle and found Demba Ba, whose shot from the angle on the right was spilled by Tim Howard and Mata followed up for his 20th of the season.

Carragher bows out

The veteran centre-back brought the curtain down on a first-team career spanning 16 years 131 days - the seventh longest in the club's history. Such is his longevity the 35-year-old has served under six different permanent managers at Anfield but his own influence on the team during that time cannot be underestimated. There was a sense of out with the old and in with the new as 17-year-old Jordon Ibe, signed from Wycombe, made his debut. He was 13 months old when Carragher made his first Liverpool appearance but the youngster was not over-awed by the occasion, and after growing into his left-wing role provided the assist for the only goal. All afternoon the Kop had been urging Carragher to shoot - from a varying degree of ridiculous angles and distances - but he declined them all until just past the hour. And while the day was rightly a celebration of his achievements, the fact the game had the slight feeling of a testimonial would not have impressed the ultra-competitive, ultra-professional Carragher. The Brazilian should already have had one to his name as in the opening couple of minutes his low, diving header from Stewart Downing's corner was cleared by full-back Michael Harriman but only after it appeared to have crossed the line.Coutinho's sweet strike provided the only goal but the difference between the two sides was huge and Liverpool should have put a hatful.

Arsene Wenger backs his side

The Gunners clinched fourth place in the Barclays Premier League and a qualifying tie for the European competition with a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Newcastle to end derby rivals Tottenham's hopes of overhauling them on the final day of the campaign. That means we need to have stability and strengthen our group if possible because there are many clubs out there with a lot of money, so the competition is very hard and there is not as much talent as money today in football.Victory was secured seven minutes after the break when central defender Laurent Koscielny volleyed home from close range after striker Lukas Podolski had headed down Theo Walcott's right-wing free-kick.Wenger is confident that the growth which enabled them to do that will serve them well once again next season. He said: "Since February 1, we have taken more points than everybody else in the league, and I don't believe that's just down to coincidence, but just to the fact that the group has grown, this team has grown through the season. However, Wenger warned his players that the job is not yet complete, with a potentially tricky qualifier to come before they can install themselves alongside the continent's elite. He said: "It means to us to be able to play with the top teams in Europe - that's what you want. The Frenchman went on: "We lacked belief for long periods because we couldn't win a big game, but the Bayern [Munich] game changed our season away from home. In the last three months, I believe we have been remarkably consistent. We have won every away game, so it is a good springboard for next season, to transfer that belief into the start of next season.

Emotional farewell for Carragher

Philippe Coutinho's 23rd-minute goal settled the encounter against relegated QPR but all the attention was on the veteran centre-back on his 737th and final appearance. He almost capped it with a superb goal - he scored on his full debut in front of the Kop - but his sweetly-struck 25-yard shot cannoned back off the post.Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will miss having Carragher around for a variety of reasons and he knows he is impossible to replace. We've seen it here through the years. You look at Ian Rush when he went away and they brought in John Barnes and Peter Beardsley - and they brought something else.I'll have to watch it again - I thought it was in," the 35-year-old told LFC TV. "I'm not the type to get too emotional but it is emotional. I've got my friends and family in the stands but I just wanted to concentrate on the game. We got the win that we wanted and I can go and enjoy myself now."I don't think there are many about like that, I've got to be honest," he said. "What he's got at this football club is unique. You have to find different ways. All great players, their time comes to an end.He added: "It was a special send-off for me and a day I'll never forget. I've been playing here a long time and it's sad to think I'll never play at this stadium again in a competitive game.

Napoli in London

Napoli's runner-up place to Juventus was confirmed when the season ended on Sunday, meaning the Neapolitans have qualified for next season's Champions League.Former Liverpool manager Benitez has already coached in Italy, taking over from Jose Mourinho after the Portuguese led Inter Milan to a treble of league, Cup and Champions League.Napoli's need to find a new coach is pressing as Walter Mazzarri confirmed on Sunday his departure from the club. After signing a two-year deal, Benitez steered the Nerazzurri to victory in the Italian Super Cup and Club World Cup but a run of poor results in the league left his position fragile and after seeing his request for new players turned down he was eventually sacked in December. My cycle at Napoli has come to an end. I need a change of scene," Mazzarri, who has been tipped to replace Aurelio Andreazzoli at Roma, said after Napoli's 2-1 defeat to the Giallorossi.Benitez took over at Chelsea last November following the sacking of Andre Villas Boas and led the defending Champions League winners to victory in the Europa League final over Benfica.Several reports in Italy said De Laurentiis was accompanied by the club's sporting director Riccardo Bigon and another official, Andrea Chiavelli, on the trip.

Rodwell earns

The 22-year-old has endured an injury-plagued debut campaign with City, but returned for the last month of the season and scored both goals in the Blues' 3-2 defeat by Norwich on Sunday.Cleverley was substituted during Sunday's 5-5 draw at West Brom, although as Sir Alex Ferguson did not speak with the media afterwards, it was not apparent what the problem was.Rodwell has two caps, both in friendlies, although he has not played for his country since November 2011.It brings to six the number of players in Hodgson's squad who have flown out on Monday for the two post-season games between Manchester City and Chelsea.Although there is no official withdrawal from Hodgson's squad as yet, it is understood Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley is not expected to play any part in either fixture.

Real at end of the season

The coach and the club agreed this is the right moment. I want to thank Jose Mourinho for the work he has done in the last few years. And despite rumours linking Paris Sant-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti with the manager's job at the Bernabeu, Perez also claimed he has not reached an agreement with any coach to succeed Mourinho.Mourinho, who has been strongly linked with a return to Chelsea - a team he managed between 2004 and 2007, has endured a torrid final season in charge of Los Blancos culminating in Friday's defeat by Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey final that ensured Real end the season without a major trophy. The 50-year-old Mourinho's time in charge of the nine-time European champions has been littered with high profile bust-ups with the local media and many of his stellar squad of world class players, but Perez hailed his demanding standards throughout his time in charge. However, Perez denied that Mourinho had been sacked by the club and said they will not have to pay the Portuguese coach compensation despite the fact his current contract runs until 2016.Mourinho's time in charge did have its successes as he guided Real to the Spanish title last season and won the club's first Copa del Rey for 20 years back in 2011.No one has sacked anyone, it has been a mutual agreement," Perez said.Los Blancos also reached three Champions League semi-finals under Mourinho, but ultimately it was his failure to lead Real to their treasured 10th European title that will mark his legacy in the Spanish capital. It is not nice for anyone to have to leave but it is also true that after three years we both decided it was the right moment to break this relationship.
