Stoke to probe

It has been reported that a pig's head was left in Kenwyne Jones' locker by team-mate Glenn Whelan on Friday. It just takes a minute to be sensitive to someone's beliefs. No one can say you can't have a sense of humour but let it be a joke! This wasn't!On discovering the pig's head, Trinidad striker Jones was reportedly so furious that he stormed outside and smashed the window of Whelan's car in retribution. The club takes seriously reports of an incident at our training ground this afternoon," Stoke said in a statement.Stoke's American defender Brek Shea later posted a picture of the pig's head on social media site instagram with the caption: "Locker room banter gone wild!"A full internal investigation will be carried out and those responsible for any unacceptable behaviour will be dealt with in accordance with the club's disciplinary procedures. But, while some players may have been amused, the incident didn't go down well with Jones's girlfriend. The incident comes less than a week after Stoke striker Michael Owen was given an unwelcome send-off by his team-mates ahead of his final home game before retirement. In an angry rant on Twitter, Kissa Abdullah wrote: "Big men acting like kids, a pigs head is not a prank its just disgusting!
