Staff v Prefects' Football Ends in Penalty Shoot-out!

A sunny Friday afternoon was the date for the annual Staff v Prefects’ football match and notably an influx of new and younger members of staff to taunt and test the soccer skills of the Prefects.  Last year’s slightly more “senior” staff team pulled off a 4-2 win, piling on the pressure for those with younger legs this year!As usual, the game attracted good support on both sides and the teams were well-matched with the score at the final whistle being 3-3.  A penalty shoot-out ensued and despite the tension, the power of  Mr Topham’s “thunderbolt” right foot secured a win for the staff!Thanks to all who supported and to the referee Hugo Allen (L6) whose impartiality created a fair and enjoyable match, even if he was probably rooting for the Prefects all along!
