English clubs have three places in the Europa League - for the FA Cup winners, the Capital One Cup winners and the fifth-placed team in the Premier League.The fifth-placed team will enter the Europa League in the play-off round, with the FA Cup winners moving straight into the group stage.The top three countries in Uefa's Respect Fair Play league get an extra Europa League place, which is given to the highest-placed team in the top flight's Fair Play table that has not yet qualified for Europe. The top four teams qualify for the Champions League, with the fourth-placed team entering at the play-off round, while the top three come in at the group stage. Manchester United are close to making sure of their top-four spot. Swansea City were the first team to book their place in Europe by winning the Capital One Cup, and will enter the Europa League in the third qualifying round unless they finish in the top four of the Premier League.Should the FA Cup winners qualify for Europe through the league, the Europa League place will go to the runners-up. In that event, Swansea would enter the Champions League with the sixth-placed team taking the Swans Europa League berth
