Liverpool received the Football Association's written reasons for the 26-year-old's ban on Thursday.Reds goalkeeper Pepe Reina also criticised Suarez's ban, calling it "absurd and unfair.There is a deadline of 12:00 BST on Friday for an appeal to be lodged.Suarez has apologised to 29-year-old Serbia defender Ivanovic and was fined by Liverpool on Monday.Earlier on Thursday, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers criticised the severity of Suarez's suspension, saying the FA had "punished the man" rather than the actual offence.Suarez has accepted a three-match suspension for violent conduct, but could contest the additional seven-match punishment.Rodgers insisted the punishment had no intention of helping the player's rehabilitation.
